Do ARTISTRY® products contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Propylene Glycol?
Many of the ingredients mentioned in suspect promotional materials are used by Amway as well as all major producers of consumer personal care products. All of these materials have long histories of safe and effective use in the personal care industry. Comments like "Propylene Glycol is an industrial brake fluid" and “SLS could lead to improper eye development in children” are typical of the misinformation found in the literature. This information is either taken out of context, or simply not true and has little or nothing to do with use of these materials at the proper concentrations in consumer goods and cosmetic products.
Both SLS and Propylene Glycol have been used safely in cosmetics and personal care products for many years. There is nothing to indicate that they pose any significant hazards.
