Why does the Vitamin C oxidize?

While topically applied Vitamin C is renowned for its anti-ageing prowess, it presents a challenge for skincare formulas: as soon as pure Vitamin C is dissolved in a solution (like a serum or creme), it begins to degrade, rapidly losing effectiveness. This is due to the laws of chemistry and can’t easily be changed in a consumer setting. It’s important to remember that we have conducted numerous internal tests to ensure that the product delivers full efficacy for at least 30 days.  At some point after that time it will no longer fully deliver on its promises.
