What does "clean" mean in the context of g&h™ clean formula?

When formulating each product, special care was taken in ingredient selection. Plant-based and synthetic ingredients were chosen based upon their safety and efficacy profiles. We avoid ingredients that are on our 'No' list such as sulphate surfactants. Sulphate surfactants are commonly used in cleansing products (they are inexpensive, widely available and easy to work with), but these chemical cleansers can strip away skin's moisture barrier. Instead, the experts responsible for the g&h range worked with plant-derived surfactants that align with our Personal Care clean philosophy and are naturally kind to skin.
